MADERAS FINAS
Maderas Finas was inspired by the beauty of Mexican tropical wood. Initially, we wanted to market all these woods because they are stunning, with black woods featuring black veins, red woods with red veins, grey wood, and woods with tiger-eye like grains – incredible tropical woods that we have in Mexico. However, only teak wood is industrially cultivated in Mexico. This fact brings both joy and sadness to us because woods like tzalam, parota, pucté, katalox, and ciricote are at risk of disappearing if not managed responsibly. The call to care for our planet made by Pope Francis prompted us to change direction and focus solely on Teak, a wood cultivated in many parts of the world. In Mexico, there are over 80,000 hectares of teak plantations, ensuring the sustainability of our company. The best part is that teak wood is the finest choice for both outdoor and indoor use, due to its natural resistance (its oil repels insects and water).
